It’s in the Jeans

Denim is a part of my wardrobe I splurge on, aside from outerwear and handbags. The key points for investing into hefty budget pieces are looking into the features and the construction. A good piece of denim, in my opinion, is the combination of elements. These elements are color, style, fit, and material composition. Some of my personal favorite brands are pricey but I can say that the investment is well worth it, as you wear them over and over again. The molding process is evident in comparison to the dreaded stretching that I have experienced with cheaper jeans. I prefer brands like Rag & Bone and RE/DONE, a company that salvages actual vintage Levi’s jeans into the perfect fit. Below are some on my current wish list:

The Perfect Red

I’m on the hunt for my ideally perfect red lipstick. With so many options out there I want to find the most classic shade and formula that I can wear with any look. Here are some that I’ve been lusting over:

  • NARS Audacious Lipstick in Rita
  • TOM FORD Lip Color Matte in Ruby Rush
  • Charlotte Tilbury Matte Revolution Luminous Modern-Matte Lipstick in Red Carpet Red
  • Giorgio Armani Beauty Lip Magnet Liquid Lipstick in 402 FIL ROUGE
  • Smashbox Always On Matte Liquid Lipstick in Bawse
  • BURBERRY Liquid Lip Velvet in Military Red No. 41

The Perfect Red

Composed Living Area

I love both the simplicity of Scandinavian home decor but also the throwback of mid-century modern style. White painted walls give me the feeling of calm and freshness for the everyday. The decor can be interchangeable in this blank canvas but I prefer the investment in pieces I know I can love for a while. Faux plants are essential as well, adding the benefits to your environment without the worry of trying to keep them alive. A well composed space, I believe, can make the afternoon cup of coffee and light reading material much more enjoyable.
